Copywriting is one of the oldest professions around. Even ancient texts had sales messages:
“The man-slave, Shem, having run away from his good master, Hapu the Weaver, all good citizens of Thebes are enjoined to help return him. He is a Hittite, short, of ruddy complexion and brown eyes. For news of his whereabouts, half a gold coin is offered. And for his return to the shop of Hapu the Weaver, where the best cloth is woven to your desires, a whole gold coin is offered.”
This dates back 5,000 years, proving we've always used language to influence decisions and earn trust.
The modern copywriter does much more than just write ads. They shape how a brand talks to its audience across all channels, from first impressions to final purchase. It's their job to nail the right words every time.
